Born and raised in Binghamton, New York, I cut my teeth traveling around the country doing in store portraits for Eastern Photo Labs out of Thomaston, Connecticut. In 1979 I moved to Buffalo and began doing weddings for Wilmack Photographers. Overnight I became a single parent and needing steady employment, I left photography and went to work for the office of mental health. I eventually remarried and built my own home in 1991 and started stringing news and sport photos for The Bee Group newspapers where I fell in love with photojournalism and the rest is history. I still string news and sport locally for The Buffalo News and nationally for Getty Images.
